Sh’ma (ICC4059) is a lyrical SSA setting of the Hebrew prayer Sh’ma Yisrael. The flowing vocal lines give a sense of reverence, allowing the text to unfold with a natural sense of reflection and beauty. As the piece develops, the individual lines gradually come together, culminating in a unified final moment. Optional cello adds a warm, supportive color that enhances the work’s sense of serenity.
